The Heritage.Hotel Hallstatt and the World Cultural Heritage site of Hallstatt are irrevocably associated with each other. And why is this? Since the hotel comprises three buildings which have long since been an integral part of the historical centre of Hallstatt. Each of them was named after families that used to reside there.

We have paid careful attention to keep history alive in Haus Kainz, Haus Seethaler and Haus Stocker. Decorative elements serve as a reminder of their past, and pay homage to days gone by. Its exclusive flair comes across as naturally in the lovingly arranged details as in the exquisite ambience, the furnishings and the service.

Naturally, as well as respecting the past, our hotel offers today’s refined furnishing standards. Each build-ing has its very own character.

• Haus Kainz houses the reception, where we welcome you upon your arrival and where you can contact us at any time for information and advice. This building also houses our breakfast area, the cosy coffee house, the sun terrace with a splendid view of Hallstättersee, the atmospheric bar and the well-tended sauna area.
  
  
• In addition to its mini lounge, Haus Stocker invites you to enjoy the incomparable tranquillity of the place with a piece of Mother Nature in its small park with seating, right in the centre of town.
  
  
• In Haus Seethaler, a spacious lounge in the form of a winter garden awaits, offering a fantastic view of the lake and a small terrace.
  
  
• Due to its historical buildings between the mountain and the lake, Hallstatt is a town in which car traffic is practically impossible. For you, this means that you can enjoy the short distance between our three build-ings and our partner restaurants in the absolutely tranquil and romantic atmosphere.

Hallstatt is the centre of the World Heritage region of Hallstatt-Dachstein-Salzkammergut. And lends its name to an entire historical epoch. The culture that lasted 7,000 years has left behind impressive marks wherever you go in Hallstatt. A culture owing its heyday to salt, which is still mined in the world’s oldest salt mine.

Moreover, the breath-taking countryside which surrounds the town leaves behind indelible impressions on your memory. As do the buildings which, boasting an architecture all of their own, nestle from the shore of the lake into the steep cliffs.
